How to choose a baseball rebounder
If the net is going to be used two or three evenings a week for a few seasons, six things decide whether it is still standing — and still being used — next year. Here they are, with FLYNX's numbers alongside, and a table of what each brand publishes on Amazon. (Pitchback, bounce-back net, rebounder: same thing, different names.)
1. Weight
Mass is what absorbs a hard throw and keeps the frame where you set it. In the 4 × 4.5 ft class, look for a frame over twenty pounds. FLYNX: 23.5 lb of powder-coated steel on a wide base, with U-shaped ground stakes in the box.
2. The net
Ply is how many strands are twisted into each cord, and knotted netting keeps its shape where the same spot takes hundreds of hits. Look for a listing that states all three numbers. FLYNX: 36-ply, knotted, 1-inch mesh, held by 26 bungee cords.
3. The angles
Three positions cover grounders, line drives and fly balls. Check how the angle locks: a lock that holds through a session means the hundredth throw comes back like the first. FLYNX: three angles, locked by a D-shackle.
4. A reason to leave it outside
A rebounder that lives in the yard gets used on weeknights. FLYNX ships with a fitted waterproof cover in a Stars and Stripes design, so it stays set up all season.
5. Setup
Numbered parts and wing nuts that tighten by hand mean one person has it standing in about fifteen minutes — and standing again in spring, after a winter folded flat in the garage.
6. What happens after you buy
FLYNX is sold on Amazon.com, so delivery is Prime, returns follow Amazon's policy, and the one-year manufacturer warranty is handled from your order page.

Is FLYNX right for your yard?
- Sized for a backyard. The 4 × 4.5 ft face suits one or two players at home or on a side field. A team running several stations at once does well with two or three nets. See which size rebounder.
- Staked into grass. The stakes are what hold it through hard throws. On turf or a hard surface, weight the base. See anchoring.
